The Levelrock Installer is responsible for installing gypsum concrete in new and existing commercial and residential buildings. Installers must be able to work and communicate effectively with a team to accomplish daily production goals and complete all jobs assigned safely and effectively.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Pump Operator

  • Must learn/know/train and become certified to operate the gypsum pump.

  • Must learn/know/train how to read water meters.

  • Must learn/know/train how to adjust the pump per the product specifications.

  • Must learn/know/train how to perform periodic, unscheduled and field emergency maintenance pump repairs.

  • Troubleshoots common problems that may occur.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skid Loader Operator

  • Must learn/know/train how to operate and become certified to drive the skid loader.

  • Must learn/know/train sand ratios compared to batch and product strength requirements.

  • Must learn/know/train how to set up a safe working perimeter for skid loader maneuvering ensuring a clear visible work area.

  • Must learn/know/train on skid loader lifting capacity, weight and balance per equipment operators manual.

  • Troubleshoots common problems that may occur.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Darby Operator

  • Must have prior experience finishing concrete.

  • Must learn/know/train of the steps to prepare a floor to receive gypsum concrete.

  • Must learn/know/train how to properly finish the different products used in the Gypsum Concrete division and be familiar with proper characteristics of the products.

  • Must be able to recognize and communicate to the pump operator adjustments to be made to the mix of gypsum concrete.

  • Must be a quality and detail oriented individual to provide our customer with a superior floor free of defects upon completion of work.

Rake Operator

  • Must learn/know/train of the steps to prepare a floor to receive gypsum concrete.

  • Must learn/know/train how to set the rake to the proper depth of the floor to be poured.

  • Must learn/know/train how keep the depth of the gypsum concrete consistent and even throughout the pour to maintain a high quality product is installed.

  • Must have some knowledge of finishing gypsum concrete and product quality.

  • Troubleshoots common problems that may occur.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Pour Hose Operator

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all crew members. The pour hose operator is responsible for direct radio communications with the pump operator. This person will direct the pump operator when to “charge” the hose, coordinate mix adjustments and flushing procedures.

  • Must learn/know/train on proper procedures to pour cube samples and perform slump tests per the manufacturer’s specifications.

  • Must learn/know/train to recognize the potential for leaks in a subfloor and steps to take when a leak is discovered.

  • Must learn/know/train to prevent splashing of gypsum concrete onto walls and other surfaces not intended to receive gypsum concrete.

  • Troubleshoots common problems that may occur.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Bag Breaker

  • Must be able to consistently lift 80 lb bags of concrete and dump into batch bucket on pump. This must be done at a constant pace to not slow down the entire pour process.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions.

  • Must learn/know/train to use proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.

  • Must learn/know/train to coordinate movement of pallets with skid loader operator to make the most efficient use of work area.

  • Must be able to keep a neat and clean work area, bundling trash neatly as the job progresses. Coordinate the disposal into appropriate containers upon job completion.

  • Troubleshoots common problems that may occur.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Crew Leader Duties

  • Meet with site supervisor / homeowner at the beginning and end of each job for pre and post inspections, to answer any questions and ensure a thorough quality job.

  • Responsible for entire job – think of the finished product as your own, take ownership in you and your crew’s work. Accountable for job quality, safety & accurate work order & timesheet completion.

  • Keep track of all fellow crew members on site to make sure appropriate tasks are assigned and each individual is working in a systematic, productive way.

Required skills, experience and talents:

  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to lead and supervise a team to achieve maximum potential.

  • Ability to use good judgement and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely at all times.
