Job Description:

Facilities Planning and Management at Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for a Construction Manager III. This position will provide construction management services for moderate to large size capital projects for renovation or new construction of campus facilities.

Responsibilities include acting as the Owner’s Representative during the construction phase of assigned projects. The position is responsible for management, coordination, and construction administration services during the construction phase of capital construction projects. Additionally, the Construction Manager observes work in progress to assure that the installation of materials and equipment is in accordance with contract documents, applicable codes and university standards. At any one time a Construction Manager III is responsible for management and oversight of multiple simultaneous projects with aggregate project budgets totaling up to $80 million.

The successful candidate will possess good communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to lead diverse project teams with conflicting interests, needs or requirements; and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
