Responsible for assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent in managing all construction processes. Also assists in managing financial administration and cost reporting activities.


  • Assists with pre-construction activities as needed: construction planning and design; interpretation of design and drawings; application of construction methods; bid packages.

  • Interprets design and drawings; prepares takeoffs; researches and recommends resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors.

  • Prepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.

  • Verifies work-in-place quantities for invoicing/pay quantities; verifies accurate payment of subcontractors and material suppliers.

  • Maintains submittal logs and timely receipt and review of submittals and shop drawings.

  • Recognizes change conditions with respect to the contract and notifies appropriate parties.

  • Ensures all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications; coordinates inspections and testing.

  • Uses company technology (computer, phone, software, etc.) to efficiently accomplish tasks. Some of our computer software programs include ProCore, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and TimberScan.

  • Assists Superintendent with daily job reports and schedule monitoring.

  • Creates correspondence to Owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, etc.

  • Maintains as-built drawings; posts RFI, bulletin and ASI as appropriate.

  • Maintains RFI logs and timely response to job questions.

  • Assist with constructability reviews and value engineering functions.

  • Develops, implements and administers project engineering procedures and other work documents; tracks and logs documentation.

  • Ensures correct setup and maintenance of filing system on jobsite.

  • Assists in the definition of contract bid packages, coordinating scopes of work, and in preparing the packages.

  • Takes weekly jobsite photographs.

  • Assist with maintaining all safety records.

  • Assists in preparing project status reports and participates in project status meetings; assists in development of meeting minutes.

  • Assists in project close-out activities.
