A Designer/Modeler is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Ankeny, IA (Hybrid) area. This position plans, coordinates and performs designs for complex components and assemblies using the preferred 3-Dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool and protocols.

responsibilities:

• Plans, coordinates and performs design work for complex 3D engineering models and components.

• Exhibits detailed knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Standards and can it to many varied situations.

• Performs as expert user of 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) system with considerable experience in Top Down design work for complex 3D engineering models and components.

• May provide document maintenance and have responsibility for placement and routing of electronic circuits.

• May create Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication drawings, plan PCB projects and create electronic schematic diagrams.

• Provides modeling leadership and counsel to other employees.

• Create detailed drawings in creo with focus on proper GD&T per company standards.

• Complete SAP engineering tasks to advance components within our system.

Skills:

• Experience in Creo, modeling complex assemblies.

• Detailed drawing/drafting experience.

• Can take direction and feedback, and immediately using self direction.

• CAD, PDM, CREO, some SAP tasks and parts ordering.

Education: Minimum drafting degree for engineering design.
