Job Title: Plumbing Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Technician with a minimum of 6 months' experience or familiarity in plumbing, electrical, or construction skilled labor. In this role, you will assist licensed journeyman technicians with the installation, delivery, and troubleshooting of piping and heating and cooling units in new construction residential, multi-family, and light industrial buildings. You should have experience with soldering and be comfortable with physical tasks including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting over 100 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist journeyman technicians with the installation of new piping and heating and cooling units.

  • Assist in the delivery and troubleshooting of pipes and plumbing equipment.

  • Perform power vacuuming of pipes and job site cleanup.

  • Handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy units with team members.

  • Utilize tools including impact drills, sawzaws, wire strippers, levels, screwdrivers, hammers, drywall saws, and channel locks.

Essential Skills

  • 6+ months' experience in plumbing, electrical, or construction skilled labor/mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience with soldering.

  • 1+ year of experience as a plumber helper or mechanical/construction aptitude.

  • Ability to use an impact driver and basic hand tools.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Mechanical aptitude and inclination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, repair, gauge, plumbing, construction installation, skilled trades, and blueprint reading.

  • Ability to purchase power tools as you progress in the role.

Work Environment

You will be working in a team-oriented environment that is very busy and requires on-call shifts every 6 weeks, with compensation for on-call duties. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to around 5 PM, with the potential for 60+ hours per week due to new projects. You will either meet at the job site or at the shop address to start your day, working closely with a journeyman. The dress code includes jeans, work boots, and work-appropriate t-shirts provided by the company. Basic hand tools are required.
