Warehouse Operator

Description

We are looking for a talented WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE to join our team specializing in LOGISTICS for our DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS SEGMENT in DES MOINES, IA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Under some supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse

  • Receive incoming goods, check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices

  • Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space

  • Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery

  • Communicate with customers by phone and in person

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Forklift and/or other warehouse machinery operating experience

  • Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment

  • This position will require a completed DMV driving report but not Driver Qualification File.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
