Position overview This position is for a motivated Electrical or Computer engineering candidate to be involved in the design, implementation, verification, and integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs applied to signal processing and information assurance products across Mission Systems on the Embedded Platforms & Advanced Packaging Solutions team.

Primary assignments and responsibilities will include requirements capture, ASIC / FPGA digital architecture and design using RTL, verification, and system integration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, team with engineers of a variety of skills and backgrounds, and matrix into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to document and present one's work and status

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using ASIC and/or FPGA design tools (e.g. Modelsim, Quartus, Vivado or other FPGA-specific tools)

  • Experience with debugging and root cause investigations on hardware using hardware schematics, integrated FPGA vendor debug tools, and digital lab equipment

  • Digital circuit architecture and resource tradeoffs

  • Some background in signal processing and/or information assurance

  • Familiarity with the signal processing system simulation & analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink)

  • Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion)
