A Electrical Technician job in Cedar Rapids, IA is currently accepting applications. This is a contract position with our key manufacturing client. In this role, you will be responsible to work closely with engineers to produce new designs and contribute suggested modifications for producibility. To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of a High School Diploma along with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Electrical Technician Responsibilities:
Provides test station build support for research, design, development or manufacturing activities for various customers.
Reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.
Multi-pin cable and connector construction.
Panel and fixture construction, integrated rack installation.
Cable continuity verification.
Document design modifications and responsible for documentation maintenance.
Assists engineers with the development of new engineering processes and/or products to ensure their manufacturability, under supervision may recommend design changes.
Perform as member of design team including participant role utilizing effective communication skills.
Solid understanding of written/verbal instruction methods used by customers.
May assist in some orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.
Electrical Technician Requirements:
3+ Years of relevant experience required
High school diploma or equivalent required
AA/AS degree preferred
Must be US Citizen
Experience reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.
Experience with Multi-pin cable and connector construction.
Experience with panel and fixture construction, integrated rack installation.
