As a part of our employee-owned staff, this position requires an independent equipment operator who is self-reliant, flexible, and enjoys leading an independent work environment.
Terracon runs late model equipment with a maintenance program tailored for our crews. The test piles are primarily installed with a Vermeer PD10. Anyone with experience running skid steers, excavators, or backhoes is encouraged to apply. Terracon embraces the ability to teach new skills and empower your career with on-the-job training.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Ability to co-lead a two-person crew.
Effective in written and verbal English communications. Must be able to coordinate, teach, and communicate effectively as a member of the field crew.
Be able to competently drive a commercial truck and trailer.
Communicate daily progress reports with your supervisor.
Physically active role with unrestricted range of motion necessary to perform daily activities.
Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
Ability to utilize cell phone apps such as GPS tracking, map reading, and basic Microsoft Office tools.
Report required maintenance to supervisor and perform maintenance tasks as required.
On the job training provided for qualified equipment operators without experience on PD-10 pile drivers.
Requirements:
A Class “A” CDL is required. A record of CDL driving experience preferred.
Minimum 1 year of equipment operator experience or the equivalent in training and related industry experience.
Extensive travel schedule based out of Cedar Rapids, IA running a 3 on – 1 off schedule.
