U.S. Bank Project Manager 5 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Project Manager with strong strategic and technical project management experience to contribute toward the success of our business line initiatives. This individual will author project management artifacts, develop and maintain project plans, and direct the overall work effort of a project team. Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes project plan activities. Project size can vary, often ranging from medium to large sized projects with multiple levels of complexity. Builds relationships with sponsoring business lines and among different groups within and outside the department. Serves as liaison between project team, business line, and technical groups. Clarifies boundaries of acceptable risk and removes obstacles. Communication and promoting a collaborative relationship between all parties is critical.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools

  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and within the approved scope

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple types of projects simultaneously

  • Proficient communicating project status, project needs, issues, and opportunities to all levels

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to develop and motivate high performing and diverse teams

  • Proficient in defining stakeholder communication requirements and developing/delivering communication plans

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risks

  • Ability to identify new opportunities to add value to the affected business lines

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight to ten years of experience in project management and leadership activities

  • Five or more years of managerial experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Dealer Services/Indirect Lending, automotive or RV/Marine finance, and/or OEM experience preferred
