As a senior level engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of SOI RFICs for mobile handset applications. #LI-DB1

Job Responsibilities

• Work with a group of Analog/RFIC design experts in development of cellular-band RFICs that have stand-alone or integrated LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, controller, and various RF and analog functional blocks

• Interface with system engineers and module design teams to create the detailed specification, report design progress, and to collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues

Job Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design knowledge

• Basic device physics

• Ability to develop and use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques and be able to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and the measured performance of a device

• Optimize RFIC performance using RF and microwave engineering knowledge

• Utilize simulation tools, analog and RF circuit test characterization techniques and equipment

• Good communication skills, be able to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, execute to a schedule, and have strong teamwork skills

• Strong understanding in RF/microwave fundamentals such as impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability and Electromagnetic theory

• Relevant experience in micro-strip/strip line stack up/laminate/multi-chip module (MCM), PA, LNA, RF switch design or passive circuit design such as integrated passive device, coupler and balun

• Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/, 2.5/3D EM tools such as Momentum/EMX/Sonnet, HFSS/CST and Cadence and ability to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance

• Strong lab skills in data collection/analysis, lab debug/tuning and product troubleshooting

• A self-starter and team-player with strong desire to learn on the job

• Strong desire and commitment to take product from concept to volume production

• MSEE + 3 year's experience or BSEE + 5 year's experience

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600 - $167,900 per year .. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
