Are you ready to be a part of an exciting, dynamic team that is working together to perform Systems Engineering tasks and field a state-of-the-art military training system? The Mission Systems Test and Training Instrumentation (T&TI) Department is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer interested in joining our team. Our team supports the entire life cycle of a program and all the systems level tasks involved with completing a successful program. The T&TI Department develops state-of-the-art Air Combat Test & Training Systems which include cryptographic, datalink, networking, and command and control applications. Our military customers desire substantial reductions in system fielding times, operational flexibility and technical superiority with increased focus on efficient integration and verification.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibit a passion and drive for continuous improvement

  • Be able and comfortable working in a partially-defined environment; flexible, adaptable, and embrace discovery and change

  • Provide creativity and alternative thinking to develop new or novel ideas to solve problems

  • Perform systems tasks including design, requirements capture, development, documentation, integration of complex military training systems

  • Demonstrate thorough communication and the ability to communicate technical approaches to a variety of audiences

  • Work well in both a team environment and being efficient at completely individual tasks

  • Show ownership of tasks and hold others accountable

  • Learn the technical details of the program and contribute to decisions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline

  • U.S. Citizenship is required and must possess or meet eligibility requirement for obtaining a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance

  • Good written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work well with others in a professional team environment

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage individual tasks while balancing priorities and schedules

  • Motivated self-starter with good analytical skills

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with visual modeling and design tools (Enterprise Architect or equivalent)

  • Experience with DoD open systems architecture and protocols (FACE, JCA, HOST, etc)

  • Experience with scripting and scripting languages (JavaScript, VBScript, Python, or equivalent)

  • Software development experience with any high-level programming language is a plus

  • Experience in an Agile environment

  • Experience with integration and testing of a system of systems

  • Obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance
