Concrete Central, LLC headquartered at 400 Westcor Dr. Coralville, Iowa 52241 phone number: 319-321-1184, is looking to fill fifteen (15) Concrete Laborer positions from 04/01/2024 to 11/30/2024. This is for full-time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include Worker will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites by using hand and power tools such as air hammers, earth tamers, cement mixers, and shovels to prepare sites for placing concrete by loading and unloading materials, digging, and leveling the earth. Workers will place strengthening materials for concrete and lift, carry, and set concrete forms. Workers will clean up waste materials. Must have three (3) months of construction laborer or related experience. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. for a distance of 75 yards. Mandatory post-accident drug tests will be required. Employer reserves the right to do pre-employment and random drug tests at the expense of the employer.

Employees will be paid $22.70 per hour up to $26 per hour, with weekly pay periods, and an overtime rate of $34.05 per hour up to $39 per hour, based on the hourly rate. 50 hours per week from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm , Monday to Saturday. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 400 Westcor Dr, Coralville, IA 52241 and will service clients within the Iowa City, Southeast Iowa nonmetropolitan area, and Cedar Rapids, IA, including the counties of Appanoose, Benton, Cedar, Clinton, Davis, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Muscatine, Poweshiek, Tama, Van Buren, Wapello, and Washington. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.

Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Bi-Weekly. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Housing is offered at a $250/bi-week payroll deduction. The offered housing is optional to workers. Additionally, Employer will make all deductions required by law. The offered housing is optional to workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths g arantee is not enforced.
