What you’ll do:

As a newly hired employee in the Electrical / Electronic Engineer , you will work in a dynamic, fast paced environment working on technology and components for the next generation of military and commercial aircraft. This includes design, development and testing for electrical/electronic systems, products, and components for space, military, and commercial aerospace applications. As you begin your career as an Electrical Engineer with Eaton, you will:

  • Apply engineering principles to generate new design solutions / problem-solving for various product development projects for electrical / electronic component & sub-systems.

  • Evaluate product design, layouts, modeling, drawing creation using various computational and design software such as MATLAB, Visio, and CAD (CATIA, Altium, Pro-E, AutoCAD) tools.

  • Participate as a member of cross-functional teams that includes supplier, manufacturing, research, supply chain, program management & sales team members.

  • Provide “hands-on” support to manufacturing during machining, assembly, and test of prototype and production hardware.

  • Prepare and lead design reviews (to support various milestones SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and project status reviews for internal/external customers.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in electrical or electronics engineering from an accredited institution, with a graduation date no later than August 2023

  • Minimum of one internship or co-op experience completed at the time of this application

  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community

  • Two or more relevant internships or co-op experiences

  • Six months or more design engineering experience

Position Criteria:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts

  • This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the Assignment Manager

  • Ability to relocate to one of the following Eaton facilities: Davenport, IA, Grand Rapid, MI or Torrance, CA

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The salary for this role is $80,000 (bachelor’s degree) a year. This position offers a one-time $6,000 signing bonus.
