DescriptionStanley Consultants is seeking a Substation Construction Inspector.This position performs on-site daily inspection of the contractors construction work to verify the work is being executed in accordance with approved project documents.Essential Duties:Inspect all project-associated field operations as requiredPrepare complete and accurate daily inspection reports with photographsReview discrepancies with appropriate partiesObserve field tests (e.g., concrete, soils)Maintain up-to-date as-constructed drawingsObserve that basic safety measures are in placeValidate quantities if requiredOther duties as assignedRequirements:Mandatory requirements:The ability to read plans and specificationsA basic understanding of construction principles and techniquesA minimum of 10 years practical construction experience working around energized, high-voltage power lines and equipment in power substationsOther Requirements:Previous construction inspection experience is preferredGood people and communication skills and ability to interface with engineers, clients, and contractorsBasic computer and documentation skills (Word or equal, Internet)Attentive to detail:Perform with minimal supervisionUse sound judgementPossess an acceptable driving record if operating a company vehicleCertifications:Minimum 10-hour OSHA trainingPhysical Demands:Ability to maneuver around construction sites in various weather conditions and climb laddersAbility to lift 25 pounds#LI-LN1Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
