RK Dixon, A Xerox is seeking a Water Systems Technician for our Purity Plus Water Systems Group (PPG). Water Systems Technicians install and relocate of point of use water purification systems as well as provide maintenance of PPG customers throughout Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

Installation / Relocation Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with customer and Sales Representative

  • Water Systems set up and delivery

  • Plan Water Systems installation

  • Install water source and drain lines

  • Wall run / fish, as necessary

  • Connect water source and drain lines

  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to local, municipal and/or State plumbing code(s).

Customer Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge and utilize Customer Dispatching Software (Remote Tech)

  • Prioritize and plan service calls

  • Communicate with customer

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot

  • Replace necessary parts and/or filters

  • Maintain an inventory of 150 to 200 separate parts and part numbers

  • Perform cleaning and sanitization

  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM)

  • Input required data / perform recordkeeping

Requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Basic plumbing

  • Electronics, basic electrical knowledge

  • Interpersonal skills and customer service skills

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Legally and safely able to drive a company issued van

  • Presentable, professional appearance

  • Organized and prior inventory experience is highly preferred

Overview:

  • Perform full range of maintenance on assigned products; including diagnostics, installation, removal, retrofit and customer call assistance.

  • Manage call activity; perform call close administrative requirements.

  • Take responsibility for customer satisfaction through proper use of customer management skills and engage the support of other RK Dixon, A Xerox Company PPG personnel as required.

  • Adhere to proper escalation procedures to resolve customer issues.

  • Provide customer training on assigned products in accordance with current field procedures.

  • Responsible for assigned company assets (i.e. parts, tools, communication and computing devices, vehicles)

  • Responsible for supportive participation in team functions and adherence to agreed-upon practices and procedures developed by the Team.

  • Drive a motor vehicle
