Job Title: Demolition Technician in Des Moines

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Demolition Technician to join our team. The role involves general interior and exterior site clean-up work after demolition has been completed, including loading concrete into wheelbarrows and transporting it to dumpsters, sweeping, vacuuming, and other general site clean-up tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general interior and exterior site clean-up after demolition.

  • Load concrete into wheelbarrows and transport to dumpsters.

  • Haul material to dumpsters and dispose of it.

  • Sweep, vacuum, and maintain site cleanliness.

  • Ensure timely and regular attendance from Monday to Saturday, starting at 6:45 am.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of construction, labor, or demolition experience.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs if needed.

  • Capability to work upright in various elements for 8-10 hours per day.

  • Punctuality and reliability in adhering to a work schedule from 7am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and Saturdays as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with demolition tools and equipment.

  • Strong physical stamina and endurance.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Work Environment

The work environment includes various demolition projects throughout Iowa. Technicians will meet at the shop every morning at 6:45 am to carpool to job sites. The work may involve traveling out of town, with per diem provided for overnight stays. Candidates must be willing to work from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday, and be open to working Saturdays. All necessary PPE is provided, but candidates must have steel-toed boots and appropriate work attire. The role requires flexibility in working at different job sites and potentially traveling to locations such as Riverside, Cedar Rapids, and Tama.
