In this role, you will work closely within the Infrastructure Construction Management (ICM) Project Controls, Pre-Construction, Strategic Planning team, and various internal departments including QAQC team, New Build Geo Managers, Global Data Center Connectivity, Sourcing and Operations Engineering, SP&A, etc. The focus will be on long-term planning, schedule templatization and optimization, analysis of different pre-construction and construction scenarios for the new build projects. The key responsibilities of the role include achievement of Project Controls deliverables among the program including financial, schedule, and risk management and reporting. The ideal candidate exhibits excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills as this is a highly collaborative and strategic role.
Lead the scheduling/planning part of data center construction strategic initiatives: (1) DC Type “X” – work with the initiative core team, as well as design, pre-construction, sourcing, commissioning and strategic teams and GC’s, leading the scheduling portion of the initiative (both planning and roll-out) and (2) LEGO – work with the initiative core team, as well as ICM pre-construction, sourcing, commissioning and strategic teams and GC’s on schedule development and initiative roll-out
Work closely with Data Center Design team on Data Center Improvement System, analyzing potential schedule impacts of design changes under review
Schedule risk-modeling based on complete/ongoing projects. Long-term planning and modeling based on the templates and risk models developed
visualization of the long-term schedule scenarios
review of the results with ICM Program Development team, sourcing, commissioning and strategic capacity planning teams, ensuring timely required capacity delivery based on the risk model assumptions and labor, equipment, material availability
Support preparation efforts for Quarterly Strategic Planning, Long-Range Planning, and Annual Site Planning establishment & reporting
Strategize and drive programmatic efficiencies and opportunities for the future of Project Controls within ICM, including continued alignment with internal and external cross-functional teams
BA/BS in construction management, engineering, or equivalent
Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in construction and project management for various construction programs
Experience in construction planning, scheduling, pull planning, and Earned Value Management
Experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Primavera P6
Experience in corporate level long-term strategic planning
Experience communicating schedule details from multiple construction sites to executive management
5+ years of field experience
Data center design and construction experience
