Intel Novel Memory Circuit Design Engineer in Des Moines, Iowa
Intel's memory research team is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated memory circuit designer to lead the design effort for novel memory devices and architectures.
You will be responsible for:
Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) of different memory devices, designs and operations.
Design, verification and tape-out of memory sub-arrays including compact bitcells and control circuits such as voltage generators, drivers and sense-amplifiers.
Innovative designs that overcome challenges of novel memory devices
Working on high-speed embedded memories such as DRAM, SRAM and ferroelectric based memories.
Partnering with process integration and device physics experts to deliver viable memory options to market faster.
About the team and organization (CR):
Intel's Components Research (CR) delivers innovative process technologies and architectures to enable Intel's roadmap. The primary goal of the memory research team in CR is to deliver viable memory options for Intel's technology development customers.
Master's or Ph.D. degree (PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study with 5+ years of professional experience in the following areas:
Memory circuit design including analog or mixed-signal blocks
Design and tape-out of a chip in more than one memory technology
Knowledge of CMOS technology
Circuit design using novel devices
Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO)
Compute-in-memory such as neuromorphic architecture
Design under process variations
Development and use of SPICE models for novel elements
Publication in a journal or conference presentation

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
