Corteva Agriscience is looking for an innovative, energetic, and transformational Product Family Architect (PFA).

The Product Family Architect (PFA) acts as a coordinator of architecture design, technical strategy, and operational standards across large scale and/or highly complex Product Families. Because of this scale and complexity, the PFA has additional duties above a typical Solution Architect to work closely with the IT Product Owner and Product Line Architect on new and existing technical and business demand.

Primary Responsibilities - How you will help us Grow!

  • IT PFA fosters innovative, productive teams, standard and compliant solutions within a family.

  • Leads planning and execution of technical lifecycle within the Product Family with IT Product Owners (PO) and Solution Architects (SA).

  • Engages with Product Owners and the IT Business Relationship Managers on new demand request reviews, technical solutions/evaluations and POC needs for the Product Family.

  • Maintains consistency of architectural principles across systems and applications by working with SAs and IT POs.

  • Ensures alignment of product roadmaps through POs and SAs; includes alignment with technology roadmap and product family folios.

  • Sets high level technical architecture for Product Family solutions and aids in determining when deviation is required.

  • Advises Product Family on required or recommended Technical Excellence work.

  • Champions improvements of architecture and technical practices.

  • Engages with teams and vendors on solution evaluations (SaaS and non-SaaS) and purchase recommendations.

  • Enables Product Family teams by guiding new solutions (purchased and developed) for the Product Family through Enterprise Architecture, Privacy, and Security reviews.

  • Works on behalf of Corteva Security organization to drive new process and standards into the Product Family.

  • Owns the Product Family solution and technology “tool kit”.

  • Works with SAs to optimize and standardize the Product Family tools and technologies based on info from Enterprise Architecture in the tech radar and enterprise tools.

  • Mentors Product Family Solution Architects where appropriate.

  • Escalates issues and resolves organizational or technical problems as needed for the Product Family.

  • Brings ideas from Engineering Community and industry to the SAs for evaluation and implementation, shares contributions back to the Engineering Community.

  • Works with peers and IT management to develop and maintain policies, standards, guidelines (guiding principles), reference architectures / patterns, decision frameworks and metrics to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the Product Family.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills - What you'll bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in designing and engineering complex, high-quality IT solutions.

  • Experience with data, integrations and enterprise-level applications.

  • Experience designing solutions in Microsoft Azure with a cloud-first mentality.

  • Experience with web UI frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue.

  • Experience in design, implementation, and deployment of scalable API services.

  • Experience with software development life cycle processes or Agile development.

  • Experience in designing and driving technology roadmaps.

  • Familiar with CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code.

  • Knowledge of micro-services.

  • Passionate about customer experience.

  • Partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent teamwork, communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills.
