Job Summary

As a Measurement & Verification Energy

Engineer you will manage and perform energy engineering tasks related to

measurement and verification (M&V) during the Performance stage of Federal

ESPC Projects. You will assist during the Development stage of projects by

crafting M&V Plans, conduct and oversee M&V activities and analyses

during construction and performance period of the project in compliance with

the contractual M&V Plans.


  • Performdata collection and analytics for project energy analysis per M&V planrequirements

  • Track andmanage project M&V task and deliverables

  • Perform andoversee on-site M&V activities including data collections, fieldmeasurements, inspection of energy conservation measures (ECMs) for performanceverification

  • Compileresults from the measurement and verification activities and prepare periodicreports

  • Researchand assist in formulating state of the art data analytics to improve projectM&V efficiency and positive impact on overall project performance

  • Collaborateand work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Repair and Replacement ProjectManagers (OMRR) and Project Commissioning (Cx) Team in planning and executingM&V related Cx activities

  • Establishclear responsibilities and processes for monitoring and measuring results

  • Review andreport on performance of Operations and Maintenance activities throughout thePerformance Period


  • BS Degreein Engineering focusing on Mechanical, electrical or energy efficiency

  • Minimum five(5) years of experience in energy engineering and / M&V for performancecontracting

  • CertifiedMeasurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) Certification and aProfessional Engineer (PE) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM)Certifications are required

  • Strongunderstanding of Federal Energy projects (ESPC) and the different stages of theproject

  • Strongunderstanding of M&V protocols, polices and standards

  • Experiencedin and understanding of project measurement and verification process

  • Highlyproficient in MS Excel, data analytics and databases

  • The abilityto take ownership and personal responsibility as it relates to makingdecisions, taking actions and accepting failures

  • Ability tofollow through on tasks and responsibilities

  • Keen anddemonstrated ability to meet set deadlines

  • Excellentcommunication skills, both oral and written, especially in communicating withproject managers and executives

  • Experiencewriting detailed technical reports and presenting analyses

  • Ability tokeep up to speed and learn emerging technology advancements in the field andunderstand the impact that it might have on projects

Security Clearance

  • Candidate must be a United States Citizen with the ability toobtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
