HII-Technical Solutions is currently looking for a Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standards (SCARS) Project Manager to support the Air National Guard (ANG) and Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC). The SCARS sustainment Initiative calls for a Simulator Common Architecture (SCA) across the Air Force's training portfolio. The DTOC has been defined as a partner in this effort. As the SCAR PM you will be on the front line to help scope and define future SCARS requirements for the ANG sustainment initiatives. The SCARS PM will be required to plan, manage, and execute projects related to the DTOC SCARS activities and capabilities. You will also provide planning and integration activities related to the integration and maintenance of new and existing SCARS Standards Maintenance Process (SMP) requirements. This position can be worked from a remote location but must be able to travel on a quarterly basis for ANG Enterprise Support.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsibilities Include:
Must be able to travel at least quarterly for ANG Enterprise support.
Attend all E-SCARS Engineering Capability Boards (SECB) for enterprise support
Coordinate with ANG training device Program Managers on SCARS requirements and Simulator Division and/or OTTI Branch
Collaborate with DTOC SCARS engineer
Collaborate with Headquarters Air Force SCARS team and SCARS Prime contractor
Collaborate with DTOC Senior OTTI/Technical Advisor
6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
Experience developing and maintaining individual project schedules in an Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
Clearance: Active Secret
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Network and System Administration Engineering Background.
Experience understanding the connection and operation of distributed sites and simulator systems for the purpose of conducting DMO events
Experience working in a DoD environment.
