Your Impact:
As a Site Civil Engineer in any of our design offices you get to work with the #1 ranked wastewater treatment engineering design firm in the world. You will be part of a talented team for conventional design and design/build projects for multiple clients. You will work on Civil design of site facility infrastructure, roadway design, engineering calculations, technical writing, and construction drawing and specification production within the water and transportation market sectors. The successful candidate will need experience delivering Civil design for wide ranging client projects. Candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, and work within 3D BIM environment.

This opportunity will primarily support water and wastewater design projects and occasional support of our transportation design group.
Duties will include but are not limited to site civil layout, grading and drainage (hydrology and hydraulics) design, geometric design of roadways including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, superelevation design, signing, striping, erosion control, maintenance of traffic during construction, quantity take-offs, and design review. You will work closely with our talented project teams through all phases of plan production as we carry projects from concept design to bid ready documents. Typical water projects range from small facility upgrades to large scale green field treatment plant facilities. Typical transportation projects range from small recreational multi-use trails to billion-dollar interstate programs. Our Civil Engineers:
Lead the civil discipline effort and tasks on projects
Design of site infrastructure for projects like municipal water and wastewater treatment, environmental water treatment (Industrial and Government), yard piping and conveyance utilizing 3D software
Roadway design projects like pavement design, geometric alignment design, traffic control systems, signage, and stripping
Produce detailed construction documents and specifications
Engineering calculations for pavement and drainage
Technical writing of reports for basis of design, design criteria, drainage, and grading erosion and sediment control
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and CAD staff
Manage work to a scope, schedule, quality and budget
Have effective communication between team members

Here’s What You’ll Need:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering
At least 5 years engineering experience in site layout, grading and drainage design
Preferred Qualifications:
2 plus years of Microstation and Inroads/Openroads design experience. Civil 3D experience a plus
Familiarity with Geopak and AutoTurn
Familiar with drainage programs such as HY-8, Culvertmaster, Flowmaster, Inroads Storm and Sanitary, TR-55
Experience with Design-Build, CMAR/CM-GC and/or EPC projects
Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse team
Construction support services for projects

The base salary range for this position is $89,100 to $139,150. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
