Locating, developing and managing this data center infrastructure the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility and capital and operational cost efficiency. Facebook is seeking an experienced, organized, and collaborative Site Sourcing Manager to join the Data Center Site Selection team.A qualified Site Sourcing Manager candidate has experience working with large, complex deals and a general knowledge of the legal agreements that accompany them. The Site Sourcing Manager has the ability to think both strategically and analytically, develop out-of-the box solutions and is able to navigate the challenges that accompany real estate development projects and portfolios of large magnitude. Domestic travel is required (25%+).

Required Skills:

Site Sourcing Manager Responsibilities:

1. Assist in development of Facebook’s owned data center location strategy and assist with the site selection effort for real estate, with a heavy focus on sourcing and initial due diligence for identified sites

2. Partner with teams focused on economic development incentives, energy and utilities, network connectivity, legal, policy, and financial considerations while performing initial diligence on sites and as needed during development stages

3. Assist in feasibility discussions and contract negotiations with service providers, property owners, economic development agencies, and utility companies

4. Assist in negotiation of letters of intent, land or building purchases, economic development incentives, water and sewer supply, and other site-specific agreements

5. Support energy negotiations, including coordination of costs and schedules

6. Partner with internal organizations including capacity planning, energy teams, data center design, construction, network engineering, legal, policy, communications and finance

7. Assist in preparation of project location recommendations and present to management for approval

8. Develop portfolio management metrics and tracking mechanisms for site sourcing efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Civil Engineering, City Planning or related

2. 4+ years of experience in site selection, commercial real estate, data center or other capital project or infrastructure analysis and or development

3. Experience with real estate agreements, including some experience with contract formation and contract negotiations

4. Experience with large real estate development projects and coordinating with internal staff, consultants, vendors and external stakeholders

5. Experience communicating commercial, market and contractual details to all organizational levels

6. Experience with developing and managing requests for proposals

7. Experience with analyzing and summarizing large sets of data based on predetermined parameters

8. 2+ years of experience in Excel and PowerPoint and/or Keynote

2. Experience in data center development

3. Experience with representing business interests to governments (state, county and local), utilities, potential suppliers, and other stakeholders

4. Experience in negotiating large contracts
