Aerotek Structural Welder in Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description:

Welder/Fabricators will be building and welding Structural Steel products such as columns, beams, stairs to specs on blueprint

weld stairs or handles prior to arriving at job site for installation

Read blueprints to complete work

Review quality of their own work

Ideally looking for full Fabricators that can cut, size, shape, bend the material and then tack it into place as they build and then weld off.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

2+ years' MIG welding

Overhead welding or iron workers union welder

Union welding experience preferred

Ability to read & build from structural blueprints

Read tape measure accurately

Ability to pass written Weld Test

Ability to pass Blueprint Test

AWS is a plus

AISC Manufacturing experience is a plus
