The primary duties include conducting and documenting observations of construction on transportation projects Strong written skills and good communication skills are a must. Responsibilities may include coordination of field materials sampling and testing including, soils density and sampling, concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, , asphalt density testing, and other testing as may be applicable to the project. Tech school or college degree beneficial.* 5 years of experience required, transportation construction projects preferred.* Department of Transportation experience is desirable.* Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong written communication skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing.
