Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Utility and Interconnection Analyst to bring much needed surge capacity to GE Solar’s Development Team. This position will be responsible for supporting GE Solar’s Utility Interconnection Team on solar PV and energy storage projects between 250 kW and 20 MW in size from project origination through commercial operation.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Utility and Interconnection Analyst, GE Solar, you will:

  • Seek standardization and foster collaboration within the business while building important partnerships with key external stakeholders as well

  • Execute and outline interconnect strategies by region / utility for interdepartmental use

  • Submit and track progress of utility interconnection applications

  • Follow up with utilities on project status

  • Research tariffs, incentives, Net Metering rules (and remaining cap) and interconnection requirements of current and prospective new markets for Commercial solar business

  • Support Strategy team on database of solar incentives, net metering and interconnection rules/opportunities

  • Assist with due diligence process, providing updates to Interconnection Manager & to Key Deal Team members on project timelines

  • Quickly come up to speed on industry and company value proposition

  • Liaison with utilities and help to maintain project plan, objectives, timelines and key milestones to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget

  • Identify, document, and manage interconnect risks through the life of the contract

  • Review all interconnection studies and agreements

  • Support Interconnection Manager with technical negotiations with utilities on interconnection studies and agreements

  • Communicate utility feedback and collaborate with Project Managers & Developers on interconnection strategy Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Technical or Business) from an accredited college or university (OR Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university and minimum 1 year of experience in construction permitting, utility interconnect execution, incentive application or regulatory compliance experience in the power or construction industry (Including Understanding of all relevant utility interconnection procedures)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction permitting, utility interconnect execution, incentive application and/or regulatory compliance experience in the power or construction industry (including Understanding of all relevant utility interconnection procedures)Eligibility Requirements:
