Your Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer for John Deere Construction Equipment located in Dubuque, IA, you will…

  • Develop electrical hardware design for off- highway equipment including harnesses, components and sensors

  • Write software requirements for simple vehicle control systems

  • Learn and apply company engineering policies and practices

  • Provide work directions to on- site contract and remotely located engineers

What Skills You Need

  • Engineering knowledge of vehicle electrical components and systems obtained from college degree or equivalent experience

  • Ability to openly communicate and collaborate with a cross- functional teams

  • Familiarity with off- highway diesel equipment

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 1 or more years of experience with Capital Harness Systems design

  • 1 or more years of experience with engineering design of off- high diesel equipment

  • 1 or more years of experience with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), such as Creo

  • 1 or more years of experience collaborating with remotely located engineering resources


Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical , Mechanical or Computer Engineering
