Title: Product Engineer - Electric Drives - 81469

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer – Electric Drives for Construction & Forestry located in Dubuque, IA, you will….

  • Perform development testing in a state-of-the-art lab and qualification of electric drive components and systems for the construction and forestry division

  • Complete Product Verification and Validation (PVV) related activities for electric drives as a component, system, and vehicle level

  • Participate in the technology demonstration and development process for electric drives systems and components, including motors, inverters, batteries, etc

  • Provide problem solving of issues on new electric drive product development and current production

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of previous engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work

  • 1 or more years of experience developing and executing test plans for component, systems, or vehicles

  • 1 or more years of working with and performing analysis with power electronics and electric machine and their operating principles

  • A strong desire and ability to learn new subject matters and technologies

  • Excellent communication skills and leadership potential

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Previous dynamometer and vehicle test experience

  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis software, such as: LabVIEW, dSpace, Glyphworks, Matlab, NI, etc

  • Experience utilizing SAEJ1939 interfacing tools or other vehicle controller interfaces

  • Knowledge of standard laboratory instrumentation and calibration processes

  • Knowledge of environmental verification testing

  • Experience with off-highway equipment

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with focus on electric drives

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
