Smitty\'s Lawn and Landscape Services, LLC is looking to fill 10 Landscape Laborer Positions in Multiple Cities and Towns w/in Boone, Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pochantas, Sac, Story, Webster and Wright Counties. This is a temporary, fulltime position starting on 5/15/2023 and ending on 12/15/2023 Job Duties and Requirements include: Mow, cut, water, edge lawns: rake and blow leaves; dig holes using hand tools with a max width of 36 inches and a depth of 36 inches, holes are to plant; pull, chop weeds, prune and haul topsoil and mulch. Involves bending, stooping, lifting and stretching on a frequent basis. Must be able to lift 75 lbs often, work in extreme weather. Will provide advance pay to cover first months rent. Assist with locating housing but do not provide. Possiblity of increased starting rate based on experience. Possibility of performance based raise, bonus, overtime and Saturdays. 1 hr non paid lunch. Transportation provided to worksites from central location in Fort Dodge, IA. Terms and Conditions of Employment: \$16.48 to \$18.00 per hour. Minimum of 40 hours per week - M-F (with a possibility of Sat.), 7:00:00 AM to 5:00:00 PM (schedules may vary). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate is \$24.72 to \$27.00. Possibility of Performance based raise. On the job training provided. Housing: May assist with finding and/or securing housing. Transportation: Employer will provide advance transportation costs for most economical common carrier for workers, either foreign or domestic, to place of employment from place of recruitment and reimburse subsistence when worker completes 50% of the work period. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence to be reimbursed at a minimum amount of \$15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per 24 hour period (with receipts) of travel. Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Tools, Equipment and Supplies: Employer will provide all tools and supplies, without charge or deposit, necessary to perform job duties. On the Job Training Provided. Miscellaneous: Employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due; pay is Bi-Weekly Employer will not make any deductions which are not required by law unless employee requests or agrees to certain deductions in regards to advance pay, reimbursements, etc. Deductions will not drop the overall wage below the UDSOL minimum, if the deductions are too great they will not be made.. H-2B Worker\'s whom paid visa, border and or other visa related fees, including those mandated by the government, will be reimbursed by employer in the first workweek.
