Position Overview

Completes basic operational approved logistics processing on schedule (Goods Receipt / Warehouse / Transport / Dispatch). Support and apply team concepts in daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Unpacks incoming goods according to respective instructions.

  • Completes packaging activities of deliveries following shipping instructions, types of packaging and other instructions (e.g. Dangerous Goods) in the given framework.

  • Completes transportations of goods inside and if applicable outside the premises with professional usage of appropriate means of transportation.

  • Stores good following the store instructions.

  • Contributes to the regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area.

  • Assembles deliveries out of given storage compartments and review for completeness and accuracy (e.g. quantity and article number in reference to the respective delivery notes).

  • Accepts incoming goods and compares them with the shipping document (Material number, description, quantity).

  • ​ Takes care for correct use of transport equipment (hand-guided industrial trucks, forklift, etc.)

  • Captures relevant data in data processing systems.

  • Arranges the acceptance, storage, commissioning and removal of goods in the storage area and records them in the appropriate systems.

  • Organizes a regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area.

  • Assembles deliveries out of given storage compartments and reviews for completeness and accuracy (e.g. quantity and article number in reference to the respective delivery notes).

  • Completes packaging of deliveries having regard to shipping instructions, common methods of dispatch, types of packaging and other instructions (e.g. Dangerous Goods) in the given framework.

  • Adds the corresponding shipping documents to the outgoing goods.

  • Completes transports inside and if applicable outside the premises with professional usage of appropriate means of transportation.

  • Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures.

  • Receive and perform work assignments in oral and/or written format and follow work instructions.

  • Deliver materials to departments as needed and return surplus materials to stock.

  • Accurately document all materials and deliveries received or shipped.

  • Operate equipment and materials associated with production requirements.

  • Follow all procedures regarding the performance of warehouse operations.

  • Load and unloading semi-trucks

Required skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Normal warehouse duties -- receiving, storing, delivering, and counting.

  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • The ability to learn to drive a forklift.

  • Ability to read, write and understand metric measuring system.

  • Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis

  • Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day

  • Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days
