Conductix-Wampfler, a growing industrial products manufacturer is looking for a qualified Sheet Metal Lead to join our team. Qualified candidates will be self-directed and quality minded. Have a minimum of 2 -5 years of experience in a sheet metal shop environment.
Have experience operating the following machines: auto saw, shear, ironworker, ss press brake, CNC punch, and punch press.
Must be able to read blueprints

Fabricates, assembles, and manufactures sheet metal parts, equipment, and products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Maintains a safe and clean working area on all aspects of the department.
Reads and interprets blueprints or product specifications to determine process sequence for fabricating and assembling sheet metal products.
Knowledge of how to use all drill press dies and fixtures and adjust to make a part to print.
Must be able to work from prints, work orders, pick lists and verbal or written instructions to perform duties. Use various measuring instruments, such as: tape measure, dial calipers, micrometer, square, protractor, height gage, and test fixtures.
Facilitates daily production work, expedites requests, material shortages, and capacity demand.
Utilizes production scheduling tools in SAP software.
Runs daily late production order reports and confers with MRP and procurement on shortages of materials.
Produces production materials by using drawings, fabrication equipment, and systems.
Communicates with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and internal customers of current and future production schedules, rejects, and quarantined materials.
Operates hand tools and fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, punch presses, and bandsaw, miter saw, routers, to cut, pierce, bend, block and form, or straighten materials.
Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smooths surfaces to ensure function of produced part.
Maintain accurate time card and necessary records. Move materials as required to satisfactorily perform duties. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
Works directly with the area supervisor and team members to achieve daily safety and production requirements and goals.
Takes active role in understanding, implementing, and using 5S in all activities including but not limited to work area layouts, work area organization, and work area quality improvements.
Works closely to use, uphold, follow, and monitor all Conductix safety protocols, programs, and policies of safety.
Drives cross training opportunities in the work group.
Supports and upholds the quality and EHS policy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent or related field experience such as: sheet metal fabrication, general; manufacturing, or general mechanical or structural construction.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area and circumference. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
