Google Program Manager, Data Center Construction in IA, Iowa

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.

  • 5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data centers.

  • Experience with either electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, and infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.

  • PMP Certification or equivalent.

  • OSHA 30 hour certification.

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience contract management and discussing agreements.

  • Excellent requirement gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving schedule and budget goals skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Manage Data Center construction projects from inception through to completion.

  • Responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, and budget of the individual builds happening at a greenfield campus.

  • Support special research and development experiments, renovations, and upgrades of existing facilities.

  • Maintain responsibility from construction to deployment, and be responsible for gathering internal requirements and delivering solutions that satisfy customer needs.

  • Resolve highly critical issues within the matrix organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs.
