Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace inoperative equipment.2. Performs preventive maintenance on electrical systems, emergency systems, and control systems.3. Read and interpret drawings, job tickets and plan jobs accordingly. Able to identify and requisition proper quantities of materials.4. Install conduit systems and install different types of wire.5. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs control systems including lighting, programmable controllers, and building heating and cooling system programmable controllers.Marginal (Secondary) Functions1. Discuss job progress with supervisor and other interested parties.2. Complete paperwork related to job assignments including daily time sheets.3. Attend safety training opportunities.4. Provide instruction to new personnel, assist and coordinate efforts with other personnel working on the same project.5. Install and repair lighting, lighting controls & components.MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:1. Requires State of Iowa Class A Journeyman Electrician license with at least four years as an apprentice plus two years of experience as a journeyman electrician; or2. State of Iowa Class B Journeyman Electrician license with eight years in the electrical trade in maintenance or construction.3.
