Loparex LLC is the worlds largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone

coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing

operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, Thailand, and India. The Iowa City facility has been in operation since 1970 and annually supplies three billion square feet of release liner worldwide. We are currently looking for a Fork Truck Driver to work in the Iowa City facility.

This position will be working on a 12 hour night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

This position is responsible for supplying and removing stock for production machines. Position also includes moving and dumping carts, using computer to prepare specifications and check inventory, and performing truck safety checks. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, previous fork truck driving experience in a manufacturing environment, strong interpersonal skills, math skills, solid computer skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to sit for 12 hours and to climb up and off of fork truck. A strong commitment to customers, productivity, quality, and safety is essential. Benefits include:

Stock primary and slitter machines and roll wrap with required material and remove processed stock

Move and dump waste carts from primaries and slitter machines

Uses computer to prepare slitter specifications and to check inventory

Performs safety checks and changes LP tanks

Monitor poly car, switch compartments, log compartment changes (requires climbing)

Load scrap/junk material

Regular and consistent attendance


High school diploma or GED

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Solid computer skills

Ability to multi-task

Communicate in a courteous and positive manner

Previous fork truck operation experience, in a manufacturing environment

Ability to sit for 12 hours and to climb up and off of fork truck

Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment including ear plugs, safety glasses and steel toe shoes
