This position of Operators is responsible for working with others to construct various projects in a team-oriented environment. The goals of the team never vary safety, quality, and timeliness. Knutson Operators are reliable, exacting, safe professionals who exceed our customers' expectations every time.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights, mirrors, and rear-view camera are clean. Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include forklift, lull, bobcat, forklift and other equipment using proper safety standards.

  • Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean tracks or wheels on equipment, as needed.

  • Manipulate or depress cane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.

  • Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.

  • Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.

  • Operate equipment according to signals from helper.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent understanding of techniques and methods

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals, and load charts

  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma

  • Certification on Operating Cranes
