AMERICA GAF MATERIALS CORPS Roofer in Iowa
The GAF Roofing Academy is focused on training the following:\ ? Transitioning Military\ ? Recent immigrants\ ? Underprivileged Youth\ ? Formerly Incarcerated Requirements:\ ? 18 years of age and older with a valid drivers license\ ? Physically able to lift and carry 50 lbs\ ? Able to work in outdoor conditions safely and at heights (hot, cold, windy, etc.)\ ? Looking for full time employment with career potential within the roofing industry We will train individuals on Commercial , Low Slope, and Steep Slope roofing installations. Each student will receive a voucher to complete OSHA 10 training as well. Upon graduation, students will be given access to GAF WorkBelt, which is our job/contractor matching app that will help those students interested find employment with one of our certified contractors. A light breakfast will be served each day of training along with lunch. We will also provide a \$250.00 stipend to those who graduate successfully. Graduate students will also receive \$200.00 towards tools upon verification of employment with a roofing company.
