Staples Furniture Project Manager - HiTouch in Le Mars, Iowa

What you’ll be doing :

  • Handles complex to highly complex customer accounts including national customer accounts and/or large regional accounts.

  • Leads and manages multi-discipline teams and project task activities to ensure profitable execution and an extremely high degree of successful project completion.

  • Establishes key project performance measurables including initiation, planning execution, monitor and control and closeout.

  • Responsible for assisting sales in the development and presentation of customer presentations and promoting the sale of project management services.

  • Responsible for ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.

  • Attends Customer planning meetings to interpret project requirements and to convey furniture capabilities and to formulate project plans.

  • Attends weekly construction meetings, if appropriate.

  • Provides technical consultation to Customer and /or Design Firm regarding electrical requirements, cabling, weight loads, etc.

  • Checks installation plans against order to ensure product (structural) application is appropriate.

  • Creates Operations job folders that include installation drawings, delivery tickets, installation instructions, timelines, and job-site requirements.

  • Coordinates with Operations to schedule delivery and installation.

  • Oversees installation, working closely with Installation Supervisors, contractors and other trades to ensure project progresses according to plan.

  • Report project status to team in weekly meetings.

  • Conducts pre-punch and punch-list walk through with Installation Supervisor and Customer to compile punch-list items.

  • Proactively manages punch-list resolution and final close-out of project.

  • Works with Project Coordinators to ensure invoicing is timely and accurate.

  • Ability to participate in Customer presentations.

  • Proficient with mathematical disciplines.

  • Ability to form meaningful relationships

  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, furniture specification plans and other architectural drawings.

  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Knowledge resource for project planning, providing technical planning/product expertise.

  • Ability to conduct weekly (external) project meetings with Customer, Design Firm, Architect and/or General Contractor.

Qualifications :

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications :

  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).

  • Minimum of three (5) years of Project Management, Installation or Design experience required
