Are you someone who enjoys collaborating with a team to design, develop, implement and maintain product configuration, to meet current and future business requirements?

CURRIES (an ASSA ABLOY company) is a leading manufacturer of essential steel door and frame openings for healthcare, institutional, commercial and industrial construction. We produce strong and secure steel doors and frames to meet the full range of safety, security, and aesthetic requirements for any project. We supply a full line of quality custom and standard hollow metal doors and frames for new and retrofit construction projects for critical infrastructure, healthcare, commercial and educational markets.

What would you do as our Pricing Estimator?

You will maintain an industry leading position for quick response to customer’s pricing needs. Work closely with our distribution to ensure correct pricing of standard and non-standard inquiries of Curries’ products. Also assist in the pricing of daily price edits, buyouts and maintaining the pricing master file data base.

You would also:

  • Work in a fast-paced, intense environment, with little supervision and the ability to complete assignments with a sense of urgency and interact extensively with both internal and external customers.

  • Interface with customers (internal & external) regarding pricing.

  • Handle phone, fax or email inquiries from distributors regarding custom or special products.

  • Prepare and complete accurate estimates to the customer from customer take-offs using both computer software and pricing manuals.

  • Price oversize doors and arch top frames.

  • Daily Price edit

  • Help Customer Service and customers with special elevation frames, doors, STC, and Windstorm.

  • Work on new pricing data base and updates when required

  • Develop and maintain proficiency in use of CURRIES Frame Estimating, Pro-Tech and other in-house estimating software

  • Consult with Engineering on special product information and labeling capabilities

  • Other duties as assigned

    The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High School diploma or GED required. Post High School education preferred.

  • Prior Door and/or Frame processing or estimating experience is preferred.

  • Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and analytical problem solving skills.

  • Excellent math and conceptual skills.

  • Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing is required.

  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of ASSA ABLOY product line is a plus. This includes door and hardware function and application.

  • Knowledge of ASSA ABLOY’s TrackPoint quoting system, COW, EDGE & Hardware Store preferred.

  • Ability to interpret physical hardware and hardware template details in order to provide accurate pricing and door/frame preparations.

  • Strong computer skills including knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of AS400, Pro-Tech, Comsense, and Imaging preferred.
