We are seeking an Architect for our either our Muscatine, Iowa or Minneapolis, Minnesota offices. This position requires the application of standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related
architectural design tasks. This position specializes in designing buildings for the US Military. You will be responsible for the following:
Performs technical architectural tasks to support the project team.
Performs basic analysis of design and construction systems, planning and occupancy studies, design layouts, and construction details.
Prepares architectural construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit
Researches, gathers, and records information for use in writing specifications.
Inspects sites and work under construction and submits reports on observations.
Leads and works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Achieves project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Must be willing to travel overseas – 15% total travel.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
Must possess a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
Must be a US Registered Architect.
LEED accreditation a plus.
Experience with US military building codes and standards (UFC) and master planning is preferred.
Demonstrated capabilities and success in delivering medium to large projects.
Ability to engage on multi-office projects, and multiple projects concurrently.
Thorough understanding of inter-disciplinary design coordination.
Knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications.
Requires strong AutoCAD and Revit skills.
