Our members hold themselves personally responsible for client success and the progress of the firm.We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Muscatine, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; or Austin, TX office. This full-time position will plan, design and manage the full cycle of cross functional engineering and architectural design projects and assumes full responsibility for success or failure of each assignment. This includes managing all activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, quality, communications, resources, procurement and risk elements to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility. This position specializes in designing buildings, facilities, and infrastructure for the US Military. Annual volume managed greater than $3,000,000 in annual gross revenue.Essential duties include:Participates in project scoping, costing and proposal preparation, interviews, and negotiations to the extent required.Plans, organizes, communicates and coordinates project engagements.Manages the day-to-day activities of project engagements including Clients and Project Teams.Reviews assigned project after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences and develop schedules, budgets, staffing, and progress billing points.Prepares project opening orders, project outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and project closings.Forms and manages a project team (including outside subconsultants) and sees that responsibilities are assigned and the execution of tasks are begun and completed according to the scope, schedule, budget, risk constraints, and quality requirements.Leads and works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.Makes recommendations on design alternatives.Organizes, manages and maintains project information and records systems.Achieves project performance established for the engagement.Achieves project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules.Maintains a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts.Meets with client management as necessary to resolve issues and to obtain approvals throughout the project lifespan.RequirementsMust possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited four year college or university.Licensed as a U.S. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA).Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).Must possess a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.Must be willing and able to travel overseas and domestically - approximately 15% total travel per year.Must have experience with US military building codes and standards (UFC) and master planning.
