They must analyze labor, time and materials requirements in order to determine the overall cost of projects. This role is responsible for increasing profitability through comprehensive cost estimating. Determining job take-offs to accurately calculate job cost is a fundamental skill set required to perform this role effectively.Essential Functions: Essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and the frequency with which the tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.DutiesInterpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepare estimates and bid proposalsEstimate the majority of work applicable to the respective region or business line, including, target projects and owners list, and managing bid flow.Review and approve change ordersPrepare relevant and reliable forecasts.Create and present reports to upper management.Build and maintain positive relationships with the key vendors.Read and interpret customer ISO drawingsOther duties as assigned.Required QualificationsTechnical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, and production equipmentLean Manufacturing techniquesRoot Cause and Corrective Action techniquesCapacity and staffing analysisInterpersonal and communication skills including presentations (This position will present to multiple levels of management.)Read and comprehend drawings and specificationsHigh level proficiency in Microsoft ExcelProficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and ProjectExperience in Aerospace or composites manufacturing is preferredEducationBachelor's Degree preferred.ExperienceOne to three years of relevant experience preferred.Computer SkillsSkilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.ERP system experienceWorking ConditionsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
