Raytheon Technologies Product Cybersecurity Sr. Principle Engineer, EPS (Remote) in Remote City, Iowa

The Power and Controls Electric Power Systems (EPS) Product Cybersecurity Engineer will be charged with protecting the deliverable airborne control systems products through the performance of security risk analysis and inclusion of required cybersecurity functions as well as performing security testing and supporting certification activities and compliance to industry standards. The Product Security Engineer will work closely with the product development teams to drive program development and support activities throughout the product development lifecycle. This will include leading the organization to embrace Product Security and ensure readiness for future program requirements as well as providing training and mentorship to the wider program teams.

This is a REMOTE position. Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participation in the Power & Controls Product Security Board

  • Drive development and implementation of an Enterprise Security Risk Management plan

  • Help develop Product Security expertise and skillsets throughout the organization

  • Develop processes to meet internal and industry requirements

  • Participate in security risk assessments

  • Oversee key technologies and standard security functionality development

  • Define and apply security analysis/test tools and methods

  • Drive operations and repair site security requirements

  • Ensure compliance to industry standards

  • Manage customer/certification requirements

  • Drive resolutions to cybersecurity incidents

  • Development and integration support for advancement of Collins developed security technologies

  • Evaluating/contributing to technical proposals

  • Guiding adherence to DO-326A/DO-356A Airworthiness Security process

  • Fostering organizational adoption of Secure System Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)

  • Participate in cybersecurity focused industry committees and working groups

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advance degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with system architects to influence inclusion of new security technologies

  • Promoting/guiding architectural solutions with a defense-in-depth design

  • Analysis of system and application security architectures

  • Reviewing system and application vulnerability assessments and providing mitigations

  • Experience creating/reviewing project bids and pursuits

  • Experience or knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for device certificate management

  • Support the design and development of hardware and software secure RoT (Root of Trust)

  • Support the design and development of embedded cryptographic solutions and communications products

  • Experience with Antitamper techniques

  • Experience with RTCA DO-326A / DO-356A

  • Any industry recognized security certifications (Sec+, OSCP, CISSP) is desirable

  • Breadth in systems and software engineering principles focused on embedded control systems

  • Cybersecurity passion for securing embedded systems
