On the job training is provided for candidates who have experience in construction but have not done Materials Testing

Position Details

  • Location: Sioux City, IA

  • Starting Pay Range: $18 - $20/hr.

  • Hours: 10-12 hour days, Monday - Saturday (Average hours are 7am - 5:30pm)

Typical Day as a Construction Materials Tester:

  • Inspect the concrete, asphalt, and soil for commercial construction projects.

  • Use a Nuclear Density Gauge to check soil compaction

  • Use concrete cylinders to complete air and slump testing

Preferred Qualifications :

  • One year previous experience in the construction trade is required

  • Knowledge working around large construction projects and must be able to document field notes.

  • Must have a clean driving record
