Iowa Employer Maintenance Electrician in SIOUX CITY, Iowa

Job Description:Troubleshoot and repair Allen Bradley products and program A & B PLC, troubleshoot and program IDEC touch screens, 3-phase 208 v. wiring, run conduit, pull wires, etc., and be able to perform maintenance at the discretion of the Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager.This job requires maintaining complicated electrical and electronic systems and equipment used in various processes including but not limited to: electrical AC/DC, electrical/air control, air and plumbing, water/honey pumps, etc. Responsible for the planning, installation and repairs of all electrical components and associated wiring including low voltage systems installation andmaintenance. Will be asked to do any job in the plant including: operate forklift, processing, line equipment, etc.(This position may encompass additional duties not outlined in the above Job Description, as necessary.)Qualifications:Two year college or technical school Journeyman's License or a minimum five years of experience and/or training working on production equipment; advanced experience with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades and preventative maintenance to packaging machines and related production equipment; must possess knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controls), Siemens Controls, FANUC Controls and computer operated machinery; capable of working from schematics, diagrams and electrical drawings for controls analysis and to fabricate control systems as applied to control panels, layout and construction; knowledge of all NEC and OSHA codes as applied to industry; proficient at maintaining plant/facility services; knowledge and understanding of machine/equipment wiring to include low voltage DC to 3 phase AC control and motor wiring; ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing; excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills; problem solving and research skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel; must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, a valid driver's license, good work ethics, a very good attendance record, be able to follow verbal and written instructions, and be able to work well with others and independently.Employer is committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action.
