Responsibilities - What You Will Do:
How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!
Ensure accurate operation of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control devices, and HVAC, for process and facility
Manage and perform electrical repairs and scheduled inspections of plant electrical systems
Act as Plant Electrician and liaison with Engineering department
Work with various electrical equipment (12V to 480V)
Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) electrical systems
Develop and maintain good working relationships with local vendors and contractors
Troubleshoot, design, fabricate and wire electrical and mechanical equipment and systems for plant
Security system and phone connections
Conduct seasonal prep work including annual preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements
Assure proper set-up, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilities
Complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed
Review and assist program leaders and teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence and compliance
Analyze metrics and perform cost analysis to improve uptime, reduce costs and maintain quality data
Interpret and accurately apply the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Service, troubleshoot and repair security system and phone connections
Make recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including the addition of new devices, and hardware
Various other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements - Who You Are:
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?
You have a High School Diploma or equivalent
A minimum of one (1) year of experience and education as an Electrician, Industrial Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, Apprentice, or related role
You possess working knowledge and are willing and able to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC)
You can maintain and troubleshoot 12V-480V systems
You possess the ability to read blueprints, ladder logic, structured text
Willingness and ability to work in a Tobacco Free facility
You have a valid driver's license and are willing and able to drive a company vehicle as needed
Knowledge and education of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) or similar systems, Graphical User Interfaces, Motor Starters, Gear Boxes, Conveyor Systems, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, etc.…
You are comfortable with technology and possess good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required
You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand, and sit for extended periods, work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
You can work independently as well as in a team environment
You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
You value health and safety! You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day
You are willing and able to work rotating shifts and overtime hours including weekend work as needed during seasonal peaks to support production demand
Preferences - It Would Be Great If You Have:
Journeyman electrical license
Two-year Technical Degree in Electrical, Industrial Technology, Automation, or related field
Knowledge and/or experience with Automation and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
Previous experience with industrial or electrical production equipment (hydraulics, instrumentation and controls, HVAC, etc.)
Experience with an E-Maintenance (or similar system) for work orders and parts inventory
