This opportunity is for an individual with Construction Observation or Administration experience to work as a Construction Observer on roadway focused projects for over 3 years in Des Moines. These projects will be for the IDOT, experience inspecting roadway projects including concrete, asphalt, bridge, storm, and sanitary sewer; experience on Federal projects is a plus.

You will oversee and manage the construction administration phase. Directs Construction Administration activities on projects, and monitors projects for construction document compliance. Works with PM to establish project procedures and implement them in the field. Performs observation and materials testing of projects with little supervision. Receives and distributes test reports. Prepares punch list and close-out procedures and performs post-construction services and investigations as needed.

This role will be in central Kansas for the first 3 months to train with senior construction mangers before the Des Moines project starts. They'll be given a work truck and gas card for all of their travel. They'll get the standard Federal Rate Per Diem (roughly $96/day). All hotels will be paid for by the company on the front end while away from home.
