Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

This position can be located in Waterloo, IA or Moline, IL.

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Design Engineer on Electric Vehicle Steering and Brakes Systems within the Tractor Drivetrain & Hydraulic Core Technology Team you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the following:

  • Primary Brake System

  • Secondary Brake System

  • Implement Brake Systems

  • Steering System

What Skills You Need

  • 7 or more years of experience with Hydraulic Schematic Layout Schemes

  • 7 or more years of experience with Vehicle Hydraulic Braking System Architectures and Valving

  • 7 or more years of experience with Vehicle Hydraulic Steering System Architectures and Valving

  • 4 or more years of experience with Legal Brake Requirements

  • 4 or more years of experience with Legal Steering Requirements

  • 4 or more years of experience with Electro-Hydraulic Vehicle Braking Systems

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Brake and Steering Systems for Tractors or Off-road vehicles

  • Brake & Steering Valving Specifications

  • Tractor Air and Hydraulic Trailer Brake System Architecture and Valving

  • Automated Steering Systems

  • Hydraulic System Software Requirements

  • Systems Engineering Methodologies and Toolset Usage

  • Design Tools Usage: Automation Studio, Simcenter Amesim, Matlab and CFD

  • Knowledge of Global Farming Practices and Production Systems

  • Electric Vehicle Design Experience with Hydraulic Functions


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, or related field
