Due to increased investment in existing and new equipment, our client in Eastern Iowa is looking to leverage our services to support its electrical and automation projects and initiatives.

The Electrical & Automation Engineer/Specialist will work onsite in Waverly in a collaborative-rich manufacturing environment.

Description:

The Electrical & Automation Specialist will have the following responsibilities:

• Interface with Electrical Controls Technicians to support the electrical and controls elements of the manufacturing equipment

• Perform PLC Programming and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment, including production line changes

• Coordinate between plant-level resources and corporate engineering on capital improvement projects related to automation

• Manage capital expansion and improvement projects ranging from $10,000 to multimillion dollar project

• Provide guidance to ECTs and other tradespeople on an as-needed basis

• Bachelors in Engineering field preferred (in lieu of degree, commensurate experience will be considered)

• 5 years of PLC programming and troubleshooting (manufacturing environment preferred)

• Allen Bradley PLC experience

• Good communication skills

• Demonstrated project experience
