Electrical Apprenticeship

Des Moines, Iowa | Pay: $20 - 28

JOB

DESCRIPTION :

  • An entry level helper would be someone who doesn't have any electrical experience, but is proficient with hand tools (hammer, screw driver, battery operated drills) and can read a tape measurer to 1/16th of an inch and do basic math. For instance: helper might be asked to do a lot of layout work.

  • Will be climbing ladders, and might be using lifts, so someone can't be afraid of heights. (some lifts go up to 30 feet) proper safety PPE provided if on lift.

  • Must be able to decipher colors due to wiring

  • Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs. consistently all day.

  • Basic math (addition and subtraction)

  • Will be assisting the journeyman electrician
